Body Balance
For those people who are born relatively healthy we can usually
remember the great nights of sleep, the boundless energy and the
exuberance of just living. As time marches on our bodies pass through
various phases in life.
As we pass through these phases our
level of activity compared to when we were children changes. Our
eating habits change and we move from having lot's of time for
outdoor leisure activities to more sedentary lifestyles. We might put
on a little weight, our cholesterol increases and our immune system
may decrease in strength.
By not using our bodies, that is,
not doing some exercise, our bodies start getting out of balance.
Instead of trying to increase our level of physical activity we start
relying on medication to try and restore our body's balance. Whether
the medication is scientific or natural we're still trying to offset
our bad health with a medicine to try and rebalance ourselves.
So
then we start putting more strain on our wonderfully engineered
bodies. Our body is trying to cope with the increasing blood
pressure, cholesterol, tinea, colds, etc and we try our fix our
bodies with natural and/or synthetic medicines. Assuming our GPs say
it's OK to exercise we should balance our body's road to recovery
with exercise and healthy eating. Go for that after dinner walk, it
will pay you lifelong dividends.
